• Use clamd/clamdscan to avoid the overload of loading the cvd multiple times
• Use clamscan for one time scans
• clamdscan only sends the pathname to clamd, so clamd needs sufficient privileges to scan the file or directory given
• clamdscan can also scan standard input, using '-' as the filename
