qscanq replaces qmail-queue. It initiates a scan (using clamscan or clamdscan) on an incoming email, and returns the exit status of the scanner or of qmail-queue to the caller.

qscanq.org seems to be down, but there are still qscanq pages on jeenyus.net: http://jeenyus.net/~budney/software/qscanq/

I had qscanq 0.42 on two servers for several years and it ran fine, but I have been unable to get qscanq 0.43 to work. Looks like I was not the only one: http://lurker.clamav.net/message/20070405.140227.df727426.en.html

When I upgraded clamav to 0.95, that stopped working as well: no error messages but mail was never rejected even if it had a virus. The qscanq mailing list disappeared with qscanq.org. I emailed the author of qscanq about it, and he said he'd have a look, but I needed scanning working on the servers so I've moved on.
