Stable

The stable release is the final version of that release. It is the best release for critical systems and production systems.

If your targets are production systems, download the stable release from ClamAV sources and from Sourceforge.

Release Candidate

A release candidate is a version with the potential to be a stable release. It becomes the stable release version if no fatal bugs are found in it.

If your system is not critical and you can help us by checking for bugs, download and test the release candidate version from ClamAV sources

Git Snapshots

Git snapshots contain the latest cutting edge code and show the latest areas of research that the ClamAV team is doing. It should compile and work, but features are likely to change with little or no notice.

If you are a developer using ClamAV and need to be ready quickly with your code when new versions of ClamAV are published, download your Git snapshots from Snapshots.
